Funeral
Please join us for Harry Garthwaite’s funeral.
We will gather together on 16th October at 2:00pm at Woodlands Crematorium to remember Harry who will be greatly missed.
(Turn right after you enter the gates and park in that car park. Please arrive in time to be walking into the cemetary chapel at 2pm).
Harry asked that people do not buy flowers, but that they may offer a small contribution to his charity pot which will be at the crematorium entrance.

Celebration
The funeral will be followed by a celebration of Harry’s life at The Jaguar Experience Centre, Jaguar Factory Gate 1, Chester Road, Castle Vale, B35 7RA. This will be a happy chance to meet and talk to other people who respected and enjoyed Harry. There will be a free cold buffet and the celebration will last for approximately an hour. (As you drive off the Chester Road, turn immediately right before you reach the security gates and park in that car park.)
Please bring your fondest memories of Harry to share with family and friends.
Extra Celebration
Harry expressed a wish to have his ashes scattered in the garden of rememberance at Newcastle upon Tyne Crematorium where the ashes of Maisie, his wife, were scattered in December 2015. We will therefore be taking his ashes to Newcastle a couple of weeks after the funeral and hope to hold a celebration nearby to which you will be invited.

Please Note
Harry allowed us to tell you about all of his lifetime experiences including not only the brave bits but also the tears in eyes and the happy, fun times. We still have many photos and documents that will allow us to put even more on this website as soon as we check it against his documents eg. RAF Pilot Log Books, Official Documents, etc.
